Young Families with children are especially welcome at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church.
We offer professional child care in our Educational Building during our 3 Worship services for infants through age 5. We do provide a Nursery Paging System that can be used by the attendant to notify the parent of the need to return to the nursery.
September through May during the Sunday School time (9:40 – 10:40 AM), we provide classes for children age 3 – up. Again, child care is available for children under age 3. The children gather for an opening with Pastor Grunke and Shaggy, have fun with some simple-to-sing songs, and then go to their classroom.
God Rocks!!
Something for our young worshippers.
Children and Family Ministry provide small activity bags with God Rocks printed on them. Our young worshippers are able to select a bag from the tree in the narthex. Several age-appropriate worship related activities will be inside the bag (gospel grams, paper, crayons and a stencil). At the end of the service the youngsters should return the bag (along with the stencils and crayons) to the base of the tree so they can be refilled for use at the next service.
Parents: from time to time we will use the bags as a way to communicate with you about an upcoming event – so be sure to check the bag for program flyers/announcements.
FOR THE PARENTS of children nursery age through grade 5 – September through May, we offer a Parenting Class during the Sunday School time. That means “pairs and spares” – parenting couples, single parents, and parents “single on Sunday.” Parents attend the Sunday School Opening with their children and learn with them Bible songs – old and new. Once your children are dismissed, you can walk with them to their class and then come to room # 16 to begin your discussion on “Parenting” in a relaxed atmosphere with other folks with the same interests and concerns.
Young Families “Munch Bunch”
Are you looking for an opportunity to get to know other families at Holy Trinity? Become a part of the Young Families Munch Bunch for a very informal dinner FOR THE FAMILY. It features playtime for the kids, and some adult conversation for the parents. We have a sign-up sheet on the wooden information table in the Fellowship Hall for hosts for the upcoming months. If you can host a get-together at home, a park or the church, please consider signing up so we can keep this group going.
