We have many opportunities for families with young children to grow together in their faith. Children learn of God’s love for them and His grace on Sunday mornings when they visit PROMISELAND. Throughout the year there are other opportunities (listed on the right) for your child to worship, learn and just have fun.
Children’s Ministry: Nursery through grade 5
The Children’s Ministry here at Holy Trinity is called Promiseland and is focused on helping children learn God’s word through Bible stories and activities such as games, crafts and even drama. Our Children’s Ministry begins each Sunday morning with children from toddlers to 1st grade meeting in room 15 at the bottom of the stairway; they will be dismissed in 10 to 15 minutes to go to the Sunday School class for their age group. Children in 2nd through 5th grades go directly to their classes and then come to room 15 for the last 10 to 15 minutes of Sunday School. In these opening and closing sessions, we deliver age-appropriate messages for each group. Puppets, science experiments, skits, music with motions that enhance the meaning of the songs and many others tools are used to help build a longing to come to worship the Lord.
We also are very concerned about the safety of our children and have a check-in system, located at the computer station in our lower hallway. We provide identity bracelets for our children 3 years through 1st grade, with the adult that brings the child in receiving a matching bracelet. This provides a secure and manageable method to be certain the correct person picks up each child. We use the “For Safety’s Sake” method, always having 2 adults present whenever we have children’s activities going on. If a teacher is absent, while we are securing a substitute, the classroom door will always remain open. Professional Child Care is provided during Worship and Sunday School for our youngest members and guests. A “Church Nursery Silent Paging System” is available which can alert the parents(s) of the need to return to the nursery
Our desire is that each child will leave here weekly with a very present sense of God’s love.
